Roland VersaUV LEF - Multilayer Printing

In this article, you will find an example of how to create a multilayered job using a Roland VersaUV LEF printer in CalderaRIP.

  Good to know

The screenshots are from CalderaRIP V15.1, but any newer version should have a similar structure.

Example with a Roland VersaUV LEF-12i

In the example below, we will configure a job on a Roland VersaUV LEF-12i to print with three layers: White, Color, and Gloss.

This printer model utilizes layer settings in conjunction with quality settings to achieve the exact configuration you need. While the example showcases three layers, you can also complete the job in two layers, as some quality settings allow for printing with multiple layers.

  1. First, create 3 layers by using the Add button in the Layers tab.

  2. Then select the first layer and drag & drop the image in the print module.

      Warning

The layer selection must always be done first!

Activate the white as you wish and select the quality white only.
