This article outlines how to create, configure, manage, import, export, and delete garments, sizes, and pallets in CalderaSubmit DTG.
Manage the garment library in Settings > Garments, Sizes & Pallets.
Good to know
You can also access the garment library from the Garment module in the main interface. From this module, you can select a garment and pallet for the current job and adjust their settings as needed.
How garments, sizes, and pallets work
- Each garment is associated with one media entry.
- Each garment can have multiple sizes.
- Each size can have multiple pallets.
- Select a garment, size, and pallet in the Garment module before arranging images in Studio.
Garments
Create a garment
- Go to Settings > Garments, Sizes & Pallets.
- Click + to add a garment.
- Configure the garment.
Edit a garment
- Go to Settings > Garments, Sizes & Pallets.
- Hover over the garment, then click Edit.
- Configure the garment.
Configure a garment
- Create or edit a garment.
- Select an image to represent the garment. Only SVG files are supported.
- Enter a name that makes the garment easy to identify in the list.
- Select the media to associate with the garment. For more information, see How to configure media.
- Click Save.
- Create one or more sizes for the garment.
Find and sort garments
- Search: Use the search bar to find a garment by name.
- Sort: Click the arrows to sort garments by name in ascending or descending order.
Import and export garments
Export garments to create backup files that you can later import into the software. Garment backup files use the TGZ format.

Contents of a garment backup file:
- One or more garment sizes.
- The pallets associated with those sizes.
- The media associated with the garment.
- Export one garment: Hover over the garment, click the three vertical dots, then click Export.
- Export several garments: Hover over a garment until its checkbox appears. Select the garments to export, then click Export. All selected garments are saved in one backup file.

Import a garment backup file: Click Import, then select the backup file.
- If the associated media does not already exist in the software, it is created automatically.
- If an imported garment has the same name as an existing garment, it is renamed automatically to prevent the existing garment from being overwritten.
Delete a garment
Warning
Deleting a garment also deletes all of its associated sizes and pallets.
- Delete one garment: Hover over the garment, click the three vertical dots, then click Delete.

Delete several garments:
- Hover over a garment until its checkbox appears, then select it.
- Alternatively, click Select all above the list.
- Click the trash icon.
Sizes
Create or edit a size
- Go to Settings > Garments, Sizes & Pallets.
- Select a garment.
- To create a size, click + in the size column. To edit an existing size, select it and click Edit.
- Enter a name and define the dimensions of the size.
- Click Save.
- Create one or more pallets for the size.
Find and sort sizes
- Search: Select a garment, then use the search bar to find one of its sizes by name.
- Sort: Click the arrows to sort sizes by name in ascending or descending order.
Delete a size
Warning
Deleting a size also deletes its associated pallets.
- Delete one size: Select a garment, hover over the size, click the three vertical dots, then click Delete.
- Delete several sizes: Select a garment, then select the sizes to delete. Alternatively, click Select all above the list. Click the trash icon.
Pallets
Create or edit a pallet
- Go to Settings > Garments, Sizes & Pallets.
- Select a garment, then select a size.
- To create a pallet, click + in the pallet column. To edit an existing pallet, select it and click Edit.
- Configure the pallet.
Configure a pallet
- Create or edit a pallet.
- Configure the settings described below.
- Click Save.
Name
Enter a name that makes the pallet easy to identify in the list.
Width and height
Enter the dimensions of the pallet used by the printer.
Position X and Y
Set the position of the garment relative to the pallet.
Orientation and alignment
Set the default orientation and alignment for images imported into Studio. Images added to a job with the selected pallet use these settings automatically.
Alignment is relative to the pallet. If no alignment is selected, no alignment is applied.

Centered
Centers the image within the pallet while preserving its proportions. If necessary, the image is resized to fit the pallet.

Extended and centered
Resizes and centers the image within the pallet while preserving its proportions. If the image and pallet have different proportions, empty space may remain.
Click More alignments to select additional horizontal and vertical alignment options.
Good to know
Default orientation and alignment settings are useful when printing different images with the same garment layout.
You can adjust orientation, alignment, position, and dimensions for the current job from the Garment module.
Find and sort pallets
- Search: Select a garment and size, then use the search bar to find a pallet by name.
- Sort: Click the arrows to sort pallets by name in ascending or descending order.
Delete a pallet
- Delete one pallet: Select a garment and size, hover over the pallet, click the three vertical dots, then click Delete.
- Delete several pallets: Select a garment and size, then select the pallets to delete. Alternatively, click Select all above the list. Click the trash icon.
