Caldera Direct-To-Film RIP has a special Auto Alignment feature that allows you to align and rotate images placed on the layout automatically.

What is Auto Alignment?

The auto alignment feature allows you to easily arrange the images in the Studio.

When activated, the function automatically distributes the images in lines aligned to the left, center, and right, or distributed over the width of the media.

Enable/Disable the feature

In the bottom bar of the Studio, click on the Auto Alignment icon (SmartPlacement_ON.svg) to enable or disable it.

When you manually manipulate an image in the Studio, the Auto Alignment gets disabled. You must click on the icon again (SmartPlacement_ON.svg) to re-enable it. Images will automatically be repositioned.

Setup

The Auto Alignment setup can be made in the Global Settings. You can also activate or deactivate the function in this area.

Any changes to the Auto Alignment settings will be applied in real-time in the Studio (you can see the changes in the background).

Alignment options

You can choose the type of alignment you want.

To the left

Image lines are aligned to the left (default behavior).

To the center

Image lines are centered on the media.

To the right

Image lines are aligned to the right.

Distribute

Image lines are distributed over the width of the media.

Spacing distribution

You can decide the horizontal and vertical distance between each image. The unit can be millimeters, centimeters, etc. depending on your global configuration.

Image insertion

As the software prompts, this setting allows you to define where you want to add the new images that arrive in the studio (concerning the ones that are already in it).

You can choose between below or above.
