Good to know

Zund Cut Center (ZCC) is a software developed by the company of the same name to manage, control, and monitor its cutting systems and media loading.
ZCC can be acquired with a basic or advanced license, supports most vectorized file formats (DXF, PDF, EDP, etc.), and integrates smoothly with CalderaRIP cutting workflows.

CalderaRIP V18:
- New Smart Materials feature that allows automatic association between a printer's media and a cutter's material. Exclusive to CalderaCare subscribers. Learn more.
- As suggested by the manufacturer, we removed the “Methods” section from the output file of these drivers, as well as the “Cutting Mode” and “Registration Type” options present in the drivers' interface (in the Main Settings and Marks tabs of the Cutter Tools Configuration).
  The removal improves the workflow with the ZCC software, avoiding inconsistent or duplicate values.

CalderaRIP V17.3
- A new "Add direction mark" checkbox was added to the Misc. area of the Cutter Tools Configuration for almost all cutting drivers (both GrandCut and VisualCut). Activating this new field adds direction marks in the form of a triangle pointing to the bottom edge of the cut job, which significantly speeds up the operators' work when managing these files.

Starting with V18, and as suggested by the manufacturer, the "Cutting mode" option is no longer available in CalderaRIP (see the changelog). If your production requires this option, do not forget to configure it directly in the ZCC software. Contact the manufacturer for more information.
