With CalderaRIP it is possible to add and manage cutters in your Client-Server architecture.
For example, if a roll-to-roll cutter is installed in the Solvent department, the cutter can be plugged into the same local network and this will make it visible to all Users:

Steps to configure and share your cutter
CalderaRIP supports a long list of cutters through direct access (VisualCut for Roll cutters) or via a driver (GrandCut for Flatbed cutters).
To configure your cutter from User 1, but available for User 2 too, follow these steps:
The following steps are an example of a VisualCut device installation.
- Open the Config module to install the cutter's driver:
- Click New then select Cutter in the type field:
- Name your cutter. In this example, "Cutter-1":
- Click Configure then click New in the window that appears:
- In the Cutter parameters window, select your cutter's model:
- In the Queue field, you should locate and select a shared folder available on both workstations:
- If applicable, make sure you also have set correctly the hostname. Click OK.
- Restart the software to Apply changes.
-
Now, you can see the cutter icon displayed in the ApplicationBar:
- Now follow the same steps to set up the cutter for User 2.
