Print Length Limitations

The IJP2000 has a maximum print length of approximately 30 meters, but it is set to a default maximum print length of 5 meters out of the box.

To enable the full 30 meters, a service code must be entered on the front panel. While typically this adjustment needs to be made by Xerox, in some cases, print operators with basic Xerox service training may be permitted to perform it.

Troubleshooting

Network interface allocation

When both Ethernet controllers are connected, the general network connection fails to access the Internet. Disconnecting the printer allows successful connectivity to both the local network and the Internet (noting that the local network operates on a different subnet).

The issue may arise from network interface allocation being based on MAC address ranges. For Caldera computer users, this is particularly relevant because Dell changed the brand of the external card between testing and launch. As a workaround:

  • Request a "XeroxNetwork.calpatch" file from the Support team.
  • After applying this patch, the onboard interface will operate with DHCP (or be manually configurable if needed), while the PCIe interface will be fixed to 192.168.150.151 for connection to the printer.
  • For future reference, the netmask on the external card is 255.255.255.254. Therefore, unless you have an address of 192.168.150.150 or .151 on your LAN, there should be no need to change the printer’s address.
