How to add a resolution to the printer driver?

CalderaRIP's printer drivers come pre-installed with default parameters, including predefined printing resolutions. While these values cannot be modified directly in the Print module, they can be adjusted in the ServerAdmin module.

  Warning

Adding new resolutions is only supported for specific grand-format drivers. See the driver's technote for more information.

Step 1: Go to ServerAdmin

  1. In the Application bar, open the Settings tab, then double-click the ServerAdmin icon:ServerADMIN ICON.png

  2. In the list of print servers, select the one to which you want to add a resolution:Printer's Config Selection.png

  4. Fill in the following fields:
    • In the Label field, type the resolution name, as it will be displayed in the Print module and EasyMedia (or ProfileExpert in the TextilePro interface).

        Warning

The Label must be recognized by the printer controller. If not, the resolution will not be applied.

    • Fill in the horizontal/vertical resolution and drop size fields, according to the printer's capabilities and the manufacturer's recommendation.

        Info

Depending on the version of your software, the resolutions may have certain limitations.
Drop sizes are required for the optional CostProof feature.

  5. Click OK to save the new resolution:
