How to use Graphtec FC9000 with automatic repeat option

Problem:

Registration marks are not detected correctly.

The first barcode is not read.

  9. In the RIP via the VisualCut module, select Positioning: Automatic Repeat and Cutter step: 0.1 mm.Job_N_1.jpg
  10. Select the job n ° 1 and I click on "cut" button.
  11. On the plotter, click on the "Barcode" button and follow the instructions.MenuPrincipal.jpg
  12. Position the tool under the black mark and  click on "Enter".Position_outils_jpeg.png
  13. Be careful!

Sometimes the vinyl media is highly reflective and the barcode is not detected correctly. You can use a black permanent marker to overwrite the barcode in order to be more matte.

Be sure you are using Scan Mode 1 on Cutter, not 2.*

  14. Let the cutter work ... nothing more to do, neither in Caldera VisualCUT, nor on the cutter.
  15. All jobs will be detected and then split automatically.

* According to FC9000 Manual :

"Select the SCAN Mode of the sensor to scan the registration marks. Select according to the media condition.

Mode 1: Select when using a general medium of white background.
Mode 2: Select when using colored media or glossy media.
Mode 3: Select when the plotter cannot scan in Mode 1 or Mode 2 with a special material.

See the Graphitec FC9000 User's manual on the link bellow:

Use the "RECOMMENDED SETTINGS" function to check the guideline for selecting a SCAN Mode.
In addition, set the registration mark adjustment value as necessary. Set the registration mark adjustment value with "+" or "-".
For Mode 1, judgment is made based on the density of the registration mark. Please set "+" for dark registration marks and "-" for pale registration marks.
For Mode 2 and Mode 3, judgment is made based on the contrast between the background and the register mark. Set it to "+" when the contrast is large, and "-" when it is small."

Additional useful information (like Mac address setting for IT purposes) can be found in the Graphtec's manual.

When using the take up roller then disable Cross Cut or use Manual Cross Cut only after rewinding or unloading. With Cross Cut enabled the take up roller will not work. See your Graphtec manual on how to disable the Cross Cut option.
