How to Change the i-Script ESKO Global Units?

Issue

When cut files generated by CalderaRIP are opened in MGE i‑cut, the job dimensions appear incorrect in the Global Preview. The units may display incorrectly (for example, converting from mm to inches), resulting in a wrong job size.

Problem

The measurement units used in the CalderaRIP cut file do not match the units configured in the MGE i‑Script software during import.

Cause

By default, CalderaRIP generates cut files using the system unit (in this case, inches).

In MGE i‑cut, the Import Units setting can be manually changed from inch to mm. If this occurs, the imported file is interpreted using the wrong unit, which causes the size mismatch.

Solution

Update the General Settings in the Esko software as follows:

  • Global Units: mm
  • Import Units: Inch
