  Limitations

PDF files generated by PrimeCenter can't be edited with Adobe Illustrator

Adobe Illustrator is not a PDF editor. Illustrator can only edit PDF files created with Illustrator because it encapsulates private data in the files to maintain editability. When these files are processed by PrimeCenter (or other software), this private data is deleted, which prevents editing in Illustrator and may introduce corruption to the PDF file. This can lead to problems such as unsupported layers that cannot be displayed or unsupported color spaces.

As a general rule, never use Illustrator to edit a PDF file that was not created by Illustrator. You will destroy information.
