CalderaDock: Clean Temporary files and Remove Images

This article describes the two CalderaDock utilities used to manage files within the CalderaRIP environment: Clean Temporary Files and Remove Images.

These tools remove temporary Spooler files and preview images that are no longer needed, helping maintain system performance.

 

Clean Temporary Files

The Clean Temporary Files utility removes completed or unused jobs from the Spooler. You can specify a time range to remove print jobs older than a certain number of days. Here is the procedure:

  1. Open CalderaDock.
  2. Go to the Tools tab.
  3. Scroll down to Utilities, locate Clean Temporary Files, and click Launch:

  4. Enter the number of days for the images you want to remove:

      Warning

    This action will temporarily stop CalderaRIP. Make sure that no print jobs are running before proceeding.

  5. Click Remove.

 

Remove Images

The Remove Images utility deletes preview images from the ImageBar. You can choose to remove images that are older than a specified number of days. Here is the procedure:

  1. Open CalderaDock.
  2. Go to the Tools tab.
  3. Scroll down to Utilities, locate Remove Images, and click Launch:

  4. Enter the number of days for the images you want to remove:

      Warning

    This action will remove images from CalderaRIP. If any of these images are still in use, errors may occur. Ensure that no print jobs are running before proceeding.

  5. Click Remove.
