This article provides a step-by-step guide on configuring a printer driver to use file sharing over the network (commonly used with flatbed printers). Continue reading, or watch this video:
- First, you must mount the RIP computer to the intended shared folder.

- Open CalderaRIP.
- Go to the Settings tab and click on the ServerAdmin icon:
- When the Server Administration opens, select the printer and click on Configure...
- A new window will open, directly in the Connection tab. If not set by default, select File as the connection type.
- Now, go to the Files tab.
- Next to the Root field, click on the Ellipsis button ( ).
- A file explorer will open. Click on the Network folder icon ( ):
- Once the designated shared folder is located and selected, click Open.
- Finally, click Proceed and enter your administration password (most probably "caldera") to save the changes.
