Caution for Linux users
The latest software development kit (SDK) integrated into this version of the driver and CalderaRIP is compatible only with recent versions of Linux Ubuntu, starting from V22.04 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish). As a result, this printer driver is no longer compatible with earlier versions of Linux Ubuntu or with Linux Debian, as determined by the manufacturer. Troubleshooting
Applicable for users of the Ricoh-L5160 driver from version 13.1
Before using this driver, several steps must be completed:
- Set the Printer Port: In the ServerAdmin for the printer, configure the port to 52026. Ensure the printer's IP address is also set correctly.

For Linux:
- Open a terminal and log in as root using
sudo -s. -
Create a symbolic link by typing:
ln -s /opt/caldera/lib/RIJP/Linux/RIJPLibrary/IJRenderingPath /usr/lib/IJRenderingPath

Next, edit the file using:
pluma /opt/caldera/lib/RIJP/Linux/RIJPLibrary/IJRenderingPath

Add the following path inside the file:
/opt/caldera/lib/RIJP/Linux/RIJPLibrary
- Save the file and close Pluma.
- Open a terminal and log in as root using

For macOS:

Open a terminal and enter the following command:
ln -s /opt/caldera/lib/RIJP/Darwin/RIJPLibrary/IJRenderingPath /usr/lib/IJRenderingPath

To edit the file, type:
vim /opt/caldera/lib/RIJP/Darwin/RIJPLibrary/IJRenderingPath

Press the “i” key to enter insert mode, and add the following path inside the file:
/opt/caldera/lib/RIJP/Darwin/RIJPLibrary
- After making your edits, press the “Esc” key to exit insert mode. To save and exit, type
:wqand press Enter.

Restarting the Driver:
- If the driver was running, navigate to Settings > ServerAdmin, select the printer, and click the "Stop Server" button. You can then relaunch the driver to print.
- If the driver was not running previously, simply start the driver to begin printing.
