This article explains how to duplicate a completed Side A media project in EasyMedia to create the corresponding Side B project, including its calibration files and ICC profile.
The example uses an HP Latex 700W/800W printer and a substrate preset named My custom film, compatible with Sandwich quality mode. For other HP printers, check that the corresponding SA/SB qualities and duplication options are available before following this procedure.
Before You Start
- Prepare a compatible substrate preset. In this example, the custom substrate is created on the printer's panel.
- Make sure the Side A media project is completed and the corresponding Side B quality is available.
Printer documentation
Refer to your printer's operating manual for details on substrate setup and compatible quality modes. For the illustrated HP printers, see HP support.
Select the Side A Media Project
- Open EasyMedia, select the printer icon, and click Next.
-
Select your printer driver and click Next. In the example, select the HP Latex 700W/800W driver. Media synchronization starts.
Retrieve missing presets
You can also click Import..., select AutoSync, and choose Missing presets only.
- Select your substrate preset, My custom film in this example, and click Next.
- Select the completed Side A Media project. The example quality is Sandwich 78p6c80WSW160 SA.
Create the Side B Project
