Four months after the release of Version 14, Caldera launches Version 14.1 of its market-leading RIP software.
Users will benefit from a 10% boost when processing PS and EPS files with the new PS2PDF feature, as well as the support of CalderaRIP software on Apple devices with M1 chip.
V14.1 also comes with a range of new features designed to improve accuracy, and further expand printing and cutting possibilities. Furthermore, new drivers from major manufacturers such as HP, MS and Epson make Caldera accessible to even more printing and cutting environments.

- macOS 11 Big Sur - M1:
- Caldera is now supported on Apple devices using the new M1 chip.

- X-Rite i1iO3 is the only device not working yet with M1

CalderaCare Features
There is no new CalderaCare feature in V14.1. However, all Version 14 CalderaCare features are still available:
- Smart Import - Extract meta-data from filenames
- Exclusive to CalderaCare customers – file-based workflows will link to PrimeCenter and V14 by automatically loading and processing meta-data, like the number of copies of each prepared layout
- Fotoba ASP - Bigger Bar codes
- Support for Fotoba Automatic Slicing Positioning can now handle up to nine blades.
- Wide Contour Offset - Easier cutting on textile substrates
- Benefit from an increased range of Cut Contours offsets, from [-10mm, +10mm] to [-100mm, +100mm].

New Cutters
Caldera V14.1 supports the Summa S One cutters, introducing the Summa OPOS Xtra feature to improve your cutting and trimming workflow. If the printed media is deformed or shrunk, the OPOS Xtra vertical marks help to calibrate the cutter locally to ensure an accurate cutting process. This feature is available for all Summa cutters benefiting from this option, including the new Summa S One and the S2 series. Furthermore, the OPOS Xtra feature is also available for the new HP Latex Plus cutter which is also supported in V14.1.

- The new HP Latex Cutters benefit from a new type of barcode, white instead of yellow, with a box around the barcode to improve readability. They also integrate Summa's OPOS Xtra feature.
Spectro Enhancements
- X-Rite i1iO3 with i1Pro3 Plus

CalderaRIP now provides a new algorithm to generate color linearization targets for the X-Rite i1iO3 with the i1Pro3 Plus spectrophotometer. This feature greatly improves accuracy for digital printing applications with a wide color gamut, such as packaging or textile printing.
