General suggestions on printing or RIPing CMYK to Grayscale
Some printer drivers may have a 'Gray' mode
Printers without this mode, can use the following method to create greyscale from a 4 color file.
Open the printer window > Gamut icon > Color Management tab > and set CalderaGrey.icc as simulation profile.
