QuickPrints and media-specific settings, tips and tricks

Media-specific items are not saved or recalled when using a QuickPrint, as they are part of the selected media.

Media-specific settings saved under each media

Changes under this tab (Print Module Interface > Wrench icon > Media tab) can be saved but then they become part of the selected media. So, when making a change like increasing the drying time or activating the horizontal/vertical compensation the Save button will become clickable:

After a change

After a change (set the drying time to 3 seconds), the new setting can be saved to the current selected profile (Ferrari Pre...):

QuickPrints saved for each media-specific settings

If you have a robust production, and use QuickPrints with different configurations, then a better choice for you is to duplicate the media in the EasyMedia module and set the desired settings for each QuickPrint.

Application example

  1. Open the EasyMedia module. Click on the printer icon and then, select your printer.
  2. Select the profile you wish to duplicate. You can access the media-specific settings by clicking on the Edit... button:EM_Media_parameters.png

      Info

In this example, one profile will have a drying time of 0 seconds and the other one of 3 seconds.

  3. Click on the Dup... button. Then, change the settings of the duplicated profile and click OK: Media_tab_drying_3.png

  4. Quit EasyMedia and go to the Print Module interface.

  5. Create a different QuickPrint for each media profile (this is especially useful when using Hotfolders linked to QuickPrints).
    1. If you select the original profile, you will see that the drying time is set to 0 seconds and linked to a QuickPrint:

    2. The duplicated profile was selected with a new 3-second drying time and linked to a specific QuickPrint:

        Warning

When changing these settings in EasyMedia, also note that when the same media is profiled for multiple print modes, you should check the parameters in the print mode/media resolution section of the profile.

    3. On this screen, the same media with multiple profiles each having a different drying time:
