How to add a roll-to-roll cutter to CalderaRIP

This article explains how to configure a roll-to-roll cutter for use in CalderaRIP. Once configured, the cutter can be used in your print-to-cut workflow.

  Info

Previously, a CutServer license was required to use roll-to-roll cutters in CalderaRIP. Roll-to-roll cutter support is now included with annual CalderaRIP subscriptions and perpetual licenses with CalderaCare. Compatible roll-to-roll cutters are managed through the VisualCut interface.

For further details, partners and resellers can visit the Partners Portal, while end users can visit our website.

Considerations

  • Before continuing, verify that your cutter is included in the list of supported devices.
  • To appear in the ApplicationBar, roll-to-roll cutters must be added through the CalderaRIP software configuration. Follow the process below to add your cutter.

Process

  2. In the Software Configuration window, click New:

  3. In the New Application window, complete the following fields, then click Configure…:

        Info

    • Hostname: This field is used only for Zünd Cut Center devices.

  6. Click OK to save the cutter parameters:

  7. Confirm that the new cutter appears in the Cutters configuration window, then click OK.
