CalderaRIP and DeviceLink profiles

Caldera will allow you to load a DeviceLink profile (CMYK to CMYK only) as an input profile to the Color Management section of the Print Module Interface:

Recommendations and limitations

  • Now remember that a DeviceLink profile is only valid for one output profile and requires the CalderaRIP media profile to be made up to the total ink limit.
  • If used with a completed ICC profile there's no need to disable the ICC (as it's automatically disabled).
  • So when using it as an input profile and using different substrates it's recommended to use a QuickPrint to select the appropriate DeviceLink profile, otherwise, you might be using the same output profile (part of the DeviceLink) for all substrates.
  • Also, keep in mind that the Spot Color module can not be used with a DeviceLink profile.
