Symptom:
After starting the measurement, the "head/arm" doesn't move up or down.
Problem:
The measuring head/arm should move down in order to determine the thickness of the target when starting the measurement sequence.
Solution:
The problem might be caused by an inactive micro-switch.
Switch the instrument off and on again to ensure that the device moves the measurement head/arm to its initial position.
Remove the cap by unscrewing the 4 screws on the left and the right side as indicated in the picture:

Adjust the screw marked by the arrow until the micro-switch is active (you can hear when the switch gets activated).
It typically only requires half a turn.

Remount the cap and fix it with the 4 screws.
After this adjustment should the measuring head should move down in order to recognize the thickness of the target when starting a measurement.
