Symptom:
Printer can be reached by using the ping command but it doesn’t accept any rip data.
Problem:
Related to printer Ethernet controller buffer issues.
Solution:
First delete all active jobs in the Spooler. Just to be sure go to the Settings tab > ServerAdmin > Highlight the printer and press the stop server button (password is caldera).
Try the following:
1) Perform a [NOZZLE CHECK] from the [TEST PRINT] menu of your EPSON GS-6000. Do this from the [CONTROL PANEL] of the Printer by pressing [MENU] > [DOWN] > highlight [TEST PRINT] > press [MENU] again.
2) Select [NOZZLE CHECK] > [MENU] > then press [ENTER] to print [NOZZLE CHECK PATTERN].
The buffer uses the same data path as the network connection (possibly the USB as well) and will wipe any data that may be stored in the buffer
queue, and should reestablish your connection.
3) If above procedure still results in the inability to send data to the printer, unplug the power cable and Ethernet cable for at least 15 minutes.
