Info
Wifi connection is not recommended with these printers, due to extreme packet loss during data transfer when printing. An ethernet or direct connection with 1GB capacity is recommended.
1. Install the printer driver
Before configuring your printer, you must have the corresponding driver. You can download and install the driver needed in CalderaDock:
- Open CalderaDock.
- Go to the Drivers tab. Use the two fields to search for your printer and CalderaDock will first propose a driver compatible with the version of CalderaRIP you have installed:
- Download and install the .calpatch driver file.
2. Verify the printer's IP address
- Type the printer IP address into your computer's web browser URL, to reach the printer host page, and check that IPv6 is disabled:
3. Configure the printer's IP in CalderaRIP
- Go to the Settings tab and click on ServerAdmin.
- Select your printer, and click on Configure... button.
- Type the printer IP address in the Host/IP address field:
- Now, you will be connected to the printer.
