How to Import CxF/4 Color Data into the Spot Color Libraries?

Starting from version 13, CalderaRIP supports the import of CxF/4 Spot Color Libraries, allowing for greater accuracy in matching brand colors. This feature enables users to select multiple illuminants and observers for precise color representation.

Import a CxF/4 File with CMYK Data

To import a CxF/4 file containing CMYK data, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Spot Colors window by clicking on the swatch icon in the Print Module:

About measuring and viewing light sources

When importing spectral libraries, you can choose the illumination source used for spectral measurements, such as “M0,” “M1,” “M2,” or “M3.”

Additionally, you can select the visualization source (target source). In graphic arts, D50/2 is typically used, while D65/10 is common in textile applications.
