Double-sided printing - Manual mode

The manual mode allows you to have a Side A different from Side B, so you can use different images and options.

  1. Open CalderaRIP.

  2. In the ApplicationBar, double-click on your printer. Then, load an image.


    Or drag and drop an image from the ImageBar to your printer, so that the Print module opens with an image already loaded:


  3. Set your printing configuration.

      Info

    Color profiles are selected automatically. If the combination of settings you have selected does not have a profile, the options will be displayed in red. Learn more.

  4. Open the Page Setup window:


  5. Enable the Double-sided Printing feature and use the Plus/Cross button ) to display all available options.


  6. Select Side A.


  7. (Optional) Select other options in the Marks, S&R, Cutting, Colors, or White tabs
    The available combinations are explained in this article covering how this feature works with other software functions.

      Warning

    For flat-bed printers, we advise you to use templates.
    When using Nest-O-Matik, make sure that the inconsistent parameters are not activated.



  8. Click Print. Side A will be sent to the Spooler.

    If you have several double-sided jobs to print, you can either:
    • Generate all your Side A, and then all your Side B (recommended for roll printers).
    • Or print the first Side A, followed by the first Side B, and so on for the other copies (recommended for flatbed printers).
  9. When Side A is printed (or are printed, if several), load the other side of the media.
  10. Drag and drop the image for Side B into the Page Setup window and, if required, choose one or more of the different image positioning options:

    • The Mirror button in the left bar (only for jobs without cut) to mirror the whole composition.


    • The Right align button in the left bar to align your images.


    • The Right align and the Mirror button in the left bar (only for jobs without cut) to mirror the whole composition and align your images.


    • A mirror option in the Cutting tab (for jobs with cut).

  11. Click Print. Side B will be sent to the Spooler.

      Warning

    For roll printer users: If you have printed all Sides A first, and you already turned the media roll around, we recommend you print the Sides B jobs one at a time and in reverse order (i.e., last job first).
