Network communication
This model supports Ethernet communication for printing. To set it up, select RAWIP in the ServerAdmin module for this printer and enter its IP address:
Info
Modifying the port will not affect communication, as the communication ports are fixed in the driver for this model.
For proper operation, the network configuration must be Gigabit compliant. Please check the following points:
- Select the RAWIP connection in the ServerAdmin module and enter the printer's IP address. The port does not matter, as it is fixed in the driver.
- Ensure that all devices from the RIP computer to the switch support Gigabit connections (10/100 switches are not compatible).
- Verify that all RJ45 cables between the RIP station and the printer, including the connection to the switch, are Category 6 cables (compatible with Gigabit connections).
- Any changes made to the printer's network configuration require a reboot for them to take effect.
- After rebooting the printer or the network, Ethernet communication may not function. To resolve this, open the network settings on the printer panel and switch it back to remote mode.
If issues persist, try connecting the CalderaRIP station directly to the printer using a Category 6 RJ45 cable and setting a fixed IP address. If this works, the initial connection problem may be due to an incompatible cable, faulty hardware, or a defective switch port.
Job Spacing
A 20 cm space is automatically inserted by the printer between jobs. This is a hardware characteristic that cannot be modified by CalderaRIP.
