How to add a page or roll size to the printer driver?

CalderaRIP's printer drivers come pre-installed with default parameters, including predefined roll or page sizes. While these values cannot be modified directly in the Print module, they can be adjusted in the ServerAdmin module. The process is consistent across all printers.

Step 1: Go to ServerAdmin

  1. In the Application bar, open the Settings tab, then double-click the ServerAdmin icon:ServerADMIN ICON.png

  2. In the list of print servers, select the one to which you want to add a page or roll size:

  3. Click the Configure... button:

  4. Another pop-up will appear.

Step 2: Add a roll or page size to the driver

  1. Go to the Pages tab first. Click the New... button to create a new roll/sheet size.

      Info

You can also select an already existing page and click Dup...to create a new sheet/roll using an existing format.

  2. The Page creation window will open:

  3. Fill in the page details:
    • Enter a format name.
    • Select the media type (Roll or Sheet).
    • Enter the dimensions.

        Info

For a roll, only the width is mandatory. For a sheet, you need to fill in both fields.

    • Margin values need to fit the printer's physical margins. If you do not know them, please refer to other rolls/sheets that already exist and copy their values.
    • Like the margins, the offset values must be the printer’s. Please refer to already existing sheets or rolls to define these values.

        Info

If you used the duplication tool, margin, and offset values are already preset. You only have to change the name and dimensions.

  4. Then, click OK to save the new size:

  5. Your new roll or page will appear on the list. Click Proceed and enter your administration password (most probably "caldera") to save the changes.

Step 3: Verify the new roll or page size

You can find your new roll/page in the Print module, under the Loading menu:
