Printer tab
- Use input roll bar: Activates the use of the input roll bar.
- Use output roll bar: Activates the use of the output roll bar.
- Sheet positioning method: Defines the sheet positioning. You can choose among Left, Right or Center.
- Sheet horizontal position (mm): Indicates to the device operator where the media should be positioned along the Set Bar, in terms of distance from the Home position.
- Print Layers: Indicates if the Layers has to be printed Concurrently or Sequentially.
- Hide Job information window: Deactivates the display of the Job Options window that appears when you click on the Print button of the Print module. The fields are purely informational and will be displayed on the printer Controller panel.
Media tab
-
Information: At the top of the window, you are able to see information about your media. There you have access to two actions:
- Save: When you click on this button, the current media settings are saved to the selected media profile (printer, media, resolution, mode) so there will be applied for any new job using the same print configuration. If you don't save, the changes you made are only applied to the current job.
- Reload: This will revert back to default as set during profiling or the last saved changes.
- Horizontal compensation (%): We recommend not to modify this. Any deviation is likely to be mechanical on the printer's side.
- Vertical compensation (%): This can be useful if you detect an increase or decrease in the length due to heating or media tension which is common when printing on vinyl or textiles for example. To calculate the compensation, click Compute and follow the software’s instructions.
- Media Type: Indicates the media type.
- Media Thickness (mm): Sets the media's thickness.
- Extra Head gap (mm): This parameter has a range from 0.30 to 0.90.
- Transport adjustment: This parameter has a range from -100 to 100.
- UV curing on: You can choose to activate the UV curing on the Image area, the Media including non-printed areas or the whole Table.
- Use anti-static mechanism: Set true to use the Anti Static mechanism.
- Sensitive to heat: Set true if media is sensitive to heat.
Media: Print Mode tab
These drivers include a list of predefined print modes (referred to as "Resolutions" in the Print Module), such as “Draft-Bi” and “Production-Bi.” Each mode is linked to specific mechanical parameters (number of passes, uni/bi-directional, lamp power, etc.) that are sent to the engine and displayed in the printer user interface for some settings.
You can customize these parameters to suit your production needs in this tab. If you do not activate a setting, the default value for the selected job resolution will be applied. Please disregard the grayed-out values; they represent fixed defaults for display purposes and will not be sent unless customized.
- Number of passes: Number of passes to render each Layer. Values go from 2 to 32.
- Uni-directional: Set true to only print in forward pass of shuttle or false to print in forward and reverse shuttle pass.
- Leading Lamp power (%): The percentage of maximum power of the leading lamp.
- Trailing Lamp power (%): The percentage of maximum power of the trailing lamp.
- Color density: Print density for the color inks. Values can be from 0 to 400.
- White density: Print density for the white ink. Values can be from 0 to 400.
- Primer density: Print density for the primer. Values can be from 0 to 400.
- Masking type: Choice of the masking mode between Flat and Range.
- Masking value (%): Percentage of the masking value.
Info
The parameters are associated with the profile. In other words, if you profile a media with 75% trailing power, as in the example, that setting will be applied whenever you print using this profile.
To find the default parameters corresponding to the driver resolutions, please refer to your printer's operation manual and the list in ServerAdmin.
