Ethernet connection

These models also support Ethernet connection for printing. To be able to use them with this type of connection, please select RAWIP in server administration, and enter the IP address (modifying the port will not affect the communication since the communication port used is fixed in the driver for this model).

To work, the whole network configuration must be gigabit-compatible. For this, please check the following points :

  • Make sure that the RIP station network card supports a gigabit connection.
  • If there are one or more switches or routers between the RIP station and the Printer, all must support a gigabit connection
  • Make sure that all RJ45 cables between the RIP station and the Printer (including cable linked to the switch) are of category 6
  • After changing the network setting on the printer panel, you should reboot the printer for the settings to be effective.

In case of trouble, please try to connect the RIP station directly with the printer using a category 6 RJ45 cable, and setting a fixed IP address. If it works with a direct connection, there might be an incompatible cable or hardware in your network, or maybe a defective port on your switch.
