Hardware Acceleration is an option designed to take advantage of the hardware’s full capabilities in order to boost its performance and dramatically reduce ripping and printing times.
The OpenCL® (Open Computing Language) API allows CalderaRIP to access multiple processors simultaneously to perform parallel processing, which enables greater speed and efficiency. You can select the Hardware Acceleration level by choosing the components you want to use :
- Multi-thread SIMD (Single Instruction Multiple Data) and GPU (Graphical Processing Unit): enable CPU (Central Processing Unit) and GPU Acceleration
- Only Multi-thread SIMD: keep only the CPU Acceleration
- Only GPU: keep only the GPU acceleration
- None: deactivate the Hardware Acceleration
