The HotFolders module allows you to create "hot" folders which are regularly checked by CalderaRIP in order to automatically charge job files (PDF, TIFF, ...) in the Image bar, and/or directly print them via Workflows.

How does it work?
Since Version 14.0, CalderaRIP has implemented an algorithm to parallelize job processing submitted to it via Hotfolders. Thanks to this algorithm, which is used by default in the software, it has been possible to improve the workflow speed of PDF and TIFF files significantly.
Smart Hotfolders also add some other capabilities to speed up your production*:
- Generally, i.e. if all files are processed without incident, the input order is preserved in the output
- Jobs submitted manually always have the priority
- Workflows and QuickPrints also benefit from the algorithm
