Nexio - Overview

Caldera's Nexio is a module that enhances your printing processes by introducing a new level of automation. It connects your CalderaRIP with third-party programs such as web shops, CRM, ERP, and MIS, streamlining workflows and improving efficiency.

By integrating with various applications, Nexio enables seamless data exchange and task automation, reducing manual intervention and minimizing errors.

How to get, install, and use Nexio?

Included in all CalderaRIP annual subscriptions and in perpetual licenses with CalderaCare since November 2025. For more information, partners and resellers should consult the Partners Portal; end users can find details on our website.

  Info

Even if you have access to the module, please keep in mind that it is available on a per-driver basis and typically requires custom development time. We recommend contacting our sales team to request a quote.

  1. Once you have the required license, download the Nexio Toolkit.
  2. If open, close CalderaRIP.
  3. Install the Simulator (calpatch file) included in the Toolkit.
  4. Open CalderaRIP.
  5. Configure Nexio (see next chapter).
  6. Restart CalderaRIP.
  7. A new "JDF" module will appear in your software, allowing you to access the "Job Tracker".
  8. Once everything is set up, you can submit jobs in various ways depending on the software or tools you wish to connect to CalderaRIP.

      Info

The Toolkit provides documentation with an example of job submission via the web browser (http://<ip-of-rip>/Nexio/ToolKit/). Additionally, Nexio supports CSV, TXT, and XML-based ticket submissions through an extra module called "Translator" managed by the technical sales team.
