It is possible to seamlessly integrate PrimeCenter and CalderaRIP on the same workflow to send metadata from PrimeCenter to CalderaRIP, automating information like printer, print configuration, and number of copies:
1- Configure an automated recipe on PrimeCenter with output tags to CalderaRIP SmartImport
On PrimeCenter, at the output tab, configure the output naming rule. In this case:
[Name of the printer]_[PrinterConfig]_[Copies]_[Univoque code]
Also, observe that the specified output folder must be the input folder for the CalderaRIP hot folder configuration
2- Configure a workflow on CalderaRIP
Please refer to the dedicated documentation.
3- Configure a Hotfolder on CalderaRIP
Set up a hotfolder to automatically input PrimeCenter files to CalderaRIP:
The information on field number 5 must be as follows: @(printer)_@(preset)_@(copies)_*
This feature is called SmartImport and is what makes CalderaRip understand something called "tags" that instruct it on what to do with the files

The Hotfolder configuration window will contain the name of the workflow created in step 2.
4- Run the Hotfolder
Enter the output files from PrimeCenter into the folder chosen as the input folder in the Hotfolder configuration.
As the layouts are created in PrimeCenter and entered into CalderaRIP, if you drag the layout from the image bar into the "Info" application, on the "JobTicket" tab you may notice that there is a label on the file with the printer and copy information attached. This effectively tells CalderaRIP what to do with the layout: what printer, what printing configuration, and what is the number of copies to process.
