3. Mounting CalderaRIP ISO file

When using a Linux operating system, whatever its distribution, ISO files cannot be executed without using a specific program or running a command line in a terminal. To help ease this step, CalderaDock features a utility called “Mount” available from the Applications tab. As indicated by its name, it allows the mounting of ISO files as an external device in an effortless way. Using this utility will enable us to start CalderaRIP installation.

  1. Open CalderaDock application.
  2. Go to the Applications tab.
  3. Launch the "Mount" tool.
  4. Click the Choose button and select the CalderaRIP ISO file you have downloaded previously. Normally, it is in the Downloads folder.
  5. Then click the Open button to mount the disk image. The root password may be required here.
  6. You can see that the ISO file has been mounted and appears as an external device in the file explorer.
  7. To start the CalderaRIP installation, simply click the Install icon. Once again, a root password is required. CalderaRIP installation is now preparing.
