Summa - Multicopy

This feature enables to cut several copies of the same job in a row, without barcode detection. This can be used with a roll (on S Class series), or sheets for the specific case of Summa S One series which can be fitted with a sheet stacker.

This feature is available in VisualCut.

Configuration

To make Multicopy feature available, in the Settings area, set Positioning field with:

  • Single with marks
  • or None

Multicopy feature is not compatible with Automatic Repeat positioning as they are conflicted features.

  Info

You can reset the number of already done copies on a selection of jobs with Reset copies button.

Multicopy with a roll

  1. Multicopy field: select Roll.
  2. Repetition: you have 2 choices.

    • Remaining copies: uses the difference between the expected number of copies and the already done number of copies in the jobs queue. Example: if there is a total of 7 copies, and there is already 2 copies done, it will cut 5 copies.
    • Forced: take the Copies parameter as the number of copies to cut.
  3. Copies: for Forced repetition mode, set the number of copies to cut.

  4. Gap (mm): fill in this field by measuring the gap between the marks of 2 copies. This number must be constant across the copies because the tool will jump across this distance to be positioned under marks of the next job.

Multicopy with sheets

  Info

This configuration is specific for Summa S One series.

  1. Multicopy field: select Sheet.
  2. Repetition: whether Remaining copies or Forced, in this case the cutter will process jobs in the stacker until it's empty.
