Create ColorBook Variations in CalderaColor

This article explains how to create color variations in CalderaColor.

Use Color steps to vary unlocked inks around their base values and generate alternative color samples for review.

Set the variation range

  1. Set Steps: the number of steps on each side of the base value.
  2. Set Variation (%): the percentage change per step.
  3. Check the patch and page counts; a wider range can increase both.

For example, Steps = 2 and Variation (%) = 1 produce two 1-percentage-point steps on each side, within the ink's limits.

Next, configure the patch and page layout.
