History

List of changes

PrimeCenter V4.2

Improved
The media selected for your recipe is now displayed in the cutter options to help you choose the right material.

PrimeCenter V4.1

Improved
The "Get estimated time" option is now hidden when the cutter is not connected to the cutter controller.
Improved

When using controller connection mode, an error is now shown until the controller is reached at least once. After that, the driver can keep working with stored data if the connection is lost.

  Recommendation

If the cutter is not intended to be connected, we recommend using offline mode to avoid connection errors.

Fixed
Incorrect IP address or port settings no longer cause PrimeCenter to freeze when the connection to the cutter controller is enabled.

PrimeCenter V4.0

Improved
When using a ZCC cutter without connecting it to PrimeCenter, you can now choose to generate cut files for ZCC cutter controller versions other than V4.

Improved
The thickness field now appears only when the value is adjustable.

Improved
The list of methods and materials is updated every hour to stay synchronized with the cutter controller.

Fixed
When the driver is configured with an output folder that is not writable, an error is now correctly reported.

PrimeCenter V3.3

Fixed
You can now use the driver without synchronizing with the cutter controller.

PrimeCenter V3.2.1

Fixed
When sending cut files to the controller via network, special characters not allowed in file names are automatically replaced by '_' to prevent errors, matching the behavior when using a hotfolder.

PrimeCenter V3.2

Removed
Metadata in .zcc files is no longer grouped by contour name, allowing integration with picker robots.

Fixed
The driver no longer sends empty messages to the cutter controller.

Fixed
On Windows, with non-English languages, saving a cutter configuration with an invalid hostname no longer triggers an infinite load and timeout. The driver now handles such errors correctly.

PrimeCenter V3.1.1

Fixed
The "Print orientation arrows" option no longer causes cut marks to be placed outside the media.

PrimeCenter V3.1

Fixed
With ZCC V4.2, time estimation is now working correctly.

PrimeCenter V3.0

New
Zund Cut Center driver is available.

Vertical

When selected, the top-right corner of the design becomes the origin. In this case, an edge cut mark at the top-right corner is mandatory.

Ranges

  Info

There is a non-reducible minimum distance of 40 mm between the cut marks and any other element, such as optical codes.

Get estimated cutting time

By activating this option, you can access to an estimated cutting time for each generated layout.

Generate a thumbnail

You can create a thumbnail that will be used by the cutter controller.

Include metadata

With a ZCC version 3.3 or higher and a synchronized cutter, metadata is natively included in the cut file (no displayed option).

Retrieve materials and methods

Synchronize PrimeCenter with the cutter and collect a list of materials and methods.

Prior to V4.0 Starting from V4.0

If you modify the materials on the cutter controller while the software is running, the material list is automatically updated in the software when:

  • you save the cutter in the settings (either during creation or modification),
  • you select the cutter in a recipe,
  • you click the Reset button in the Cutter options,
  • or automatically every hour.

You can also manually refresh the material list at any time by clicking the Refresh button in the Cutter options within a recipe.

Methods and contours association

Starting from PrimeCenter V3.0:

  • The association of methods and contours moved from a dedicated tab in the main interface to the Cutter options.
  • It is mandatory to associate at least one method to a contour to run the recipe.

Methods and contours associations_300px.png

Choose a material in the Cutter options, and its associated methods will be retrieved from the cutter.

  Good to know

  • You can associate a method with multiple cut contour names!
  • Cut contours that are not associated with a method will not be exported.
