Printer tab
- Print vertical line: Prints a vertical line alongside the job.
Advanced parameters
- Use status for job management: the driver will react according to the printer status: wait for the end of the previous print in order to launch a new one, check the job compatibility with the media loaded, etc.
- EpsonHTM threads: used to do parallel computation when EPSON Precision Dot mode is in use. If you set too many threads, the printing process may slow down. Leave this value to its default, or try for yourself if increasing the number of threads increases the speed. Everything will be specific to your workstation.
- Dot Size: if not Automatic, the drop size is forced to use Small, Medium or Large drops.

-
Information: at the top of the window, you are able to see information about your media. There you have access to two actions:
- Save: when you click on this button, the current media settings are saved to the selected media profile (printer, media, resolution, mode) so there will be applied for any new job using the same print configuration. If you don't save, the changes you made are only applied to the current job.
- Reload: will revert back to default as set during profiling or the last saved changes.
- Horizontal compensation (%): we recommend not to modify this. Any deviation is likely to be mechanical on the printer's side.
- Vertical compensation (%): this can be useful if you detect an increase or decrease in the length due to heating or media tension which is common when printing on vinyl or textiles for example. To calculate the compensation, click Compute and follow the software’s instructions.
- Material: select the reference media that is the closest to the current media. The reference media contains predefined settings you can use to set your media parameters:
-
Slot. Choice of printer configuration slot for this media:
- Panel
- 1 to 10
- Feed adjust: set the media feed adjustment level value. The value 0.00 disables this function (use value set on the panel) but a number between -5.00 and 5.00 enables it (use selected feed adjustment level). This setting is useful for avoiding light or dark lines between passes.
- Drying time per scan (1/10 s): add a delay between each scan to allow the ink to dry a little between each pass. Type the number wanted or use the + and - buttons. Duration is measured in 1/10 second.
Advanced Parameters
- Ink Density Factor (%): maximum level of ink allowed. Increasing this factor might increase the Gamut but it might also create over-inking issues. This value indicates the absorption capability of the medium being used, and directly impacts the output and ink usage.
Info
The previous value can be determined by the use of special tools and test patterns. Please refer to EPSON's Support in this case.
Only on F9400H driver:
- Ink Density Factor Fluo Pink / Yellow: Fluorescent Pink ink setting for EPSON screening (see above).
Comments tab
On this tab you can see comments coming from the EasyMedia module. It can include comments from the global media window and from the profile project window.
