Tips & tricks
Within the ServerAdmin module, there is a tab called "Misc" where you will find options to fix unexpected behaviors with your printer:
Example from another HP model
- Low-level reports: These are the logs of the driver, and they are useful for identifying problems if unexpected behavior occurs. Check the corresponding box to enable it and restart the driver to validate the changes (the software will prompt you for this). Once the low-level reports are enabled, reproduce the issue, and save the report. Please do not hesitate to contact Support if you need to.
- Driver reset: this will remove any cache file kept internally by the driver to "reset" the driver to "factory default". Clicking this button will remove the internal media database, internal quality index, and the ICC cache file.
Limitations
-
Print:
- Contone only.
- 1200 resolution is no longer supported with the latest firmware
- No status information is available for jobs unless you deactivate the Job supply mode option.
- If you deactivate the Job supply mode you will not be able to print at the printer's maximum speed, as you will have a pause after each job.
-
Spooler:
- No accounting information is available if the printer prints too fast (small jobs).
