Prerequisites

Before applying the Add crop marks profile, you may need to learn more about check/fix profiles:

Mark types

You can generate two types of marks:

  • Crop marks: Generated from the CropBox, which is often equal to the TrimBox. These marks define the final size of the artwork.
  • Bleed marks: Generated from the BleedBox.

Example with tiling

When working with Tiling, crop marks help identify overlapping areas, making it easier to align tiles during installation. The installer can use these marks to correctly position each tile.
