Color settings for marks
This cutter can be used for both standard printing and Design To Film (DTF) printing. Depending on your application, you can switch the Output mode of the cut driver in the Settings > Cutters tab:
-
DTF (white marks) option: This allows you to define a spot color name for cut marks and the optical code that match the ones expected by the RIP software for white printing. The default names are “Register” for cut marks and “CutAnnotation” for the optical code. These are the most common names used by most RIP software.
Good to know
To differentiate white cut elements in the preview and the print file, they are displayed in yellow.
- Standard option: Marks are printed in black, as typically used for standard applications.
Recommendation
If you use your cutter for both standard and DTF applications, we recommend creating 2 separate cutters in PrimeCenter, using the same cut driver. One should be configured in DTF mode, and the other in standard mode.

Methods and contours association
By default, all contours are cut using the plain cut method. However, you can optionally associate contours with the perforated cut method for specific purposes. This association is available with the Standard and DTF output modes and is defined per recipe.
Good to know
The cut contour generated by the Add trimbox to annotations option in the Annotations module is automatically associated with the perforated cut method.
