Additional options

Retrieve materials and methods

You can retrieve materials and methods from the cutter controller. This feature is accessible from the cutter configuration in Settings > Cutter tab by entering the hostname and port of the cutter controller. Once enabled, you can select a material in the Cutter options module, and the associated methods will be automatically retrieved.

Prior to V4.0 Starting from V4.0

If you modify the materials on the cutter controller while the software is running, the material list is automatically updated in the software when:

  • you save the cutter in the settings (either during creation or modification),
  • you select the cutter in a recipe,
  • you click the Reset button in the Cutter options,
  • or automatically every hour.

You can also manually refresh the material list at any time by clicking the Refresh button in the Cutter options within a recipe.

Methods and contours association

In Cutter options, for a chosen material, you need to associate methods with contours.

  Good to know

  • It is mandatory to associate at least one method to a contour to run the recipe.
  • You can associate a method with multiple cut contour names!
  • Cut contours that are not associated with a method will not be exported.
  • If you modify the methods or the materials on your controller while PrimeCenter is running, refresh (ctrl/cmd + R) or restart the software to update the list.
