Summa-specific options
Summa PostNet bar code
Warning
Summa PostNet bar codes are available only with the GoProduce Pro package. Make sure you have selected the correct package in the cutter configuration from Settings > Cutters tab.
This option allows you to print Summa PostNet bar codes, either in addition to or as a replacement for standard bar codes.
Summa PostNet bar codes are specialized codes used by Summa cutting devices to automate job recognition and ensure precise alignment during the cutting process.
Summa PostNet barcode
Info
- The Summa PostNet bar code is always placed at the bottom. An optional second bar code can also be placed at the top.
- When Summa PostNet bar code is enabled, manual adjustment of the edge cut mark margin on the side where the bar code is placed is disabled.
- If you choose to print both standard bar codes and Summa PostNet bar codes, the placement of the standard bar codes will be restricted by the position of the Summa PostNet bar codes. In this case, only the width of the bar codes can be adjusted.
Additional options
Methods and contours association
In Cutter options, for a chosen material, you need to associate methods with contours.
Good to know
- It is mandatory to associate at least one method to a contour to run the recipe.
- You can associate a method with multiple cut contour names!
- Cut contours that are not associated with a method will not be exported.
- If you modify the methods or the materials on your controller while PrimeCenter is running, refresh (ctrl/cmd + R) or restart the software to update the list.
Custom materials and methods
You can use custom materials and methods. To do this, first export the required XML file from your Summa software:
- Go to the General tab,
- Then click Create RIP XML. (⚠️ using the Backup function will not work)
Summa software
Next, import this XML file into the cutter configuration in Settings > Cutters tab. Once imported, you can select the custom material in the Cutter options tool, and the associated methods will be automatically retrieved. Here is an example of an XML file: MaterialManager.xml
