Only for EPSON Precision Dot modes:
- Repeat count X-axis (input included): Similar to Step'n'Repeat, on a horizontal axis (left-right).
- Repeat count Y-axis (input included): Similar to Step'n'Repeat, on a vertical axis (up-down).
Advanced parameters:
-
Use status for job management: Uses information returned by the printer for
media size, print end detection. - EPSON Precision Dot threads: Specifies the number of processes in parallel that compute EPSON screening. It takes a trial-and-error approach to find the right value.

-
Inkset: Enables a printer to be forced with the ink configuration (useful if no connection and/or for problem detection). By default, this setting uses the ink configuration as installed on the machine.
Warning
In the event of a real connection to the printer, this parameter becomes inoperative and the machine's ink configuration is used.
Media tab

-
Information: at the top of the window, you are able to see information about your media. There you have access to two actions:
- Save: when you click on this button, the current media settings are saved to the selected media profile (printer, media, resolution, mode) so there will be applied for any new job using the same print configuration. If you don't save, the changes you made are only applied to the current job.
- Reload: will revert back to default as set during profiling or the last saved changes.
- Horizontal compensation (%): we recommend not to modify this. Any deviation is likely to be mechanical on the printer's side.
- Vertical compensation (%): this can be useful if you detect an increase or decrease in the length due to heating or media tension which is common when printing on vinyl or textiles for example. To calculate the compensation, click Compute and follow the software’s instructions.
-
Material: Choice of media type. Options are:
- Thin paper - Fabric
- Thick paper - Fabric
- Thick paper - Rigid
- Slot: This is for choosing a media configuration on the printer. To get a quality print, be careful to match the media in the CalderaRIP with the one on the printer.
Advanced parameters
- Ink Density Factor: The percentage used by EPSON screening. Refer to an EPSON test pattern to determine the ideal value for the media used.
F9500H driver
- Ink Density Factor Fluo Pink: Percentage used for "Fluorescent Pink" ink by EPSON screening. Refer to an EPSON test chart to determine the ideal value for the media used.
- Ink Density Factor Fluo Yellow: Percentage used for "Fluorescent Yellow" ink by EPSON screening. Refer to an EPSON test chart to determine the ideal value for the media used.
Comments tab
On this tab you can see comments coming from the EasyMedia module. It can include comments from the global media window and from the profile project window.
Status tab
-
Status: global state of the printer:
- Ready
- Not available
- Printing
All data is coming from the printer, if it is not available, nothing can be displayed.
-
Inks: Information about the ink configuration and the ink levels in %.
Info
The values returned for ink consumption will also include the ink consumed to ensure optimum print quality, so it's normal to see minimal ink consumption from an ink that isn't part of the print job concerned.
- Heaters: temperature level of the Preheater, the Printheater and the Postheater.
- Media: information about the media loaded on the printer.
- Misc: complementary info about the printer (model, serial number, firmware version).
- Refresh: button to refresh the tab.
