How to share a Caldera license between multiple workstations?

It is possible to share licenses between several workstations with Caldera products.

  Info

In PrimeCenter, it's possible to share one license with up to three users with the package    3_PrimeCenter-Max_30px.png
Other packages can add users as a paid option.

Quick overview of the process

  1. Install CalderaDock on the main workstation, which we refer to as the "license server", and activate your license.
  2. Then, you must configure Caldera's License Manager, Sentinel, on the license server, and on the other workstations you want to share licenses with (also known as "license clients").
This will allow the computers involved to communicate over the network to share the license.
  3. Finally, install CalderaDock on the license client and select the shared license on the licenses tab.

The online license management application used by Caldera is Sentinel. This application is automatically installed at your first license registration from CalderaDock. Please refer to the dedicated section for more information.

Please note that Sentinel requires either port 8443 or 443 to be open, along with the local firewall, for proper functionality.
