How to install Epson Edge Dashboard (EED) and register your printer?

With Epson SureColor printers, you can install the printer's media profiles using the Epson Edge Dashboard (EED). This tool allows you to download ICC profiles provided by Epson and subsequently load or sync these profiles to the supported printers. The following is a non-exhaustive list of these:

Prerequisites

  • EED can be installed independently of CalderaRIP; however, both the RIP and the EED workstations must be on the same local network.
  • If you are switching from the Epson Control Dashboard to the Epson Edge Dashboard, all registered printers will be cleared. You will need to re-register those printers following the EED install.
  • For Windows users:
  • For Linux users:
    • Before installing EED, you must install the "device framework" for the printer you wish to manage (more information in the next chapter).
    • EDD requires at least Debian Jessie GNU/Linux (8.6) or later. You can also use EDD on older systems; however, it is recommended to upgrade the operating system to take full advantage of all available features.

Download the Epson Edge Dashboard

Initially, EED was presented as a software application requiring installation on users' computers. However, it has since transitioned to a web-based platform, allowing access through a browser and eliminating the need for local installation.

Despite this change, we are including installers in this support article. These installers can be beneficial in certain environments, such as serving as an alternative for workstations with limited internet connectivity.

  Good to know

The latest EED installers can also be downloaded directly from the Epson website.
