How can I check the version of my CalderaRIP and/or its drivers?

When your devices or software present an unexpected behavior, you will likely find the solution directly in this knowledge base.

If you do not find what you need, it is important to know which software and driver versions are installed before contacting the support team.

What is a build/patch? [Deprecated]

The build patch, also referred to as the update patch, included bug fixes for CalderaRIP and occasionally introduced new features. For example, for CalderaRIP V14, there was a build "201207", and for CalderaRIP V14.1, a build "210820".

By installing the latest available build, users ensured they were using the most up-to-date version of CalderaRIP, complete with all the latest patches and updates.

Starting with CalderaRIP V15, no new update patches were available to upgrade the software to the latest build version. Instead, the latest build was directly included in the default installation package of CalderaRIP, ensuring that every installation was always up to date. Learn more.

Driver versions

Printer drivers can also be updated. Any driver with revision a, b, c, etc. in the name is newer than the version that will install an update or a new disk image.

Only updated printer drivers will be listed in the Software log history (previously referred to as "Updates and Patches" and accessible via the Help menu) when a new printer driver is installed after the initial CalderaRIP installation.

Note also that the date/order of installation is important, as it is possible to downgrade to an older version by mistake.
