Dedicated to Zünd cutters using Océ ProCut software instead of ZCC software.
Driver History
-
CalderaRIP V17.3
- A new "Add direction mark" checkbox was added to the Misc. area of the Cutter Tools Configuration for almost all cutting drivers (both GrandCut and VisualCut). Activating this new field adds direction marks in the form of a triangle pointing to the bottom edge of the cut job, which significantly speeds up the operators' work when managing these files.
-
CalderaRIP V15
- Supported since this version
Why this driver?
With older versions of CalderaRIP, you had to use the Zünd Cut Center driver which was not adapted to Océ ProCut software. The generic XML file has limited options:
- Not possible to map materials without a connection to the controller
- More difficult way to do media to materials/contours to methods associations
This Océ ProCut driver allows you to have the same standard options that are available in Zünd Cut Center and to set up materials and methods.
Cutter tools configuration window with Zünd Cut Center driver
Cutter tools configuration window with Océ ProCut driver
Differences between the 2 drivers:
- Media, ZCC Materials, tabs deleted, it now uses the generic interface with media to materials and contours to methods associations
- Diagnostics tabs deleted
- Import tab added
How to set up methods and materials?
1st step
Export the media from the Cut Media Manager in ProCut software: it creates a zip file containing all materials XML definitions. The default location for materials on Windows system is C:\ProgramData\Oce\ProCut Server\CutMedias but you can change this directory. This CutMedias directory includes an XML file for each media with all settings associated.
2nd step: Import the media from the CutMedia directory
Before importing the media, you have this message:
Go to the Import tab:
- Click on the three dots menu
- Copy/paste your CutMedias directory path or find it in the navigation menu
- Click on the Import button
You know that the import is successful with the message change (you may have to close and reopen the window for refresh):
3rd step: Set up methods and materials
Now you can set up associations between contours and methods, as well as the printer's media and materials in the dedicated tabs. The process is similar to Zünd Cut Center 3 or CalderaXML. Please refer to this article for further information.
