Spooler - Job Actions

  Good to know

For the most part, these are quite similar to the actions you can perform by right-clicking on any of the Job Queues.

This article is a summarized version of each action. For more details on each action, please visit the dedicated section.

The Job actions are located at the bottom of the Spooler:

  • Prior: Gives priority to the selected job. This action is available only for jobs in the "Running jobs" queue.
  • Abort: Aborts the job and, if a job is running, the "Abort" action moves it to the Error jobs queue.
  • Delete: Removes the job from the Spooler. Available for jobs in the Completed jobs or Error jobs queues.
  • Purge: Erases data associated with the printed job. This option saves space on the disk. Available for jobs in the Completed jobs or Error jobs queues.

      Warning

Once the purge is done, the job cannot be printed again, and the parameters cannot be changed.

  • Block: Blocks the selected job. Available only for jobs in the Running jobs queue.
  • Print: Places the job in the "Running jobs" queue, to be processed. For AutoNest jobs, it manually starts to print.
  • Settings: Opens the Job Settings window, which is divided into four tabs:
Main tab Printer and Media tabs Nest-O-Matik
    • Destination: Modifies the printing action. Please note that the available actions may vary depending on the job and printer.
    • After Print...: Specifies the action to take once the job is completed: "Delete job" removes it from the Spooler, "Hold job" keeps it in the Spooler for potential relaunch, and "Purge job" erases the job to free up disk space, but it cannot be reprinted afterward.
    • Number of copies: Changes the number of copies of the job.
    • Already done: Changes the number of jobs already done. Can be useful to adjust the real number of done jobs.
  • Reopen: Opens the Print module with the job’s settings loaded. This option is useful to verify the parameters of a printed job, to reprint the job with new settings, or to print a new job using the settings of a previous job.

      Info

This function is only available for jobs launched from the module (i.e. targets printed from EasyMedia can not be reopened).

  • Cut…: Opens the VisualCut module with the selected job’s cutting settings loaded.
