Driver History
-
CalderaRIP V18.1
- Fixed issues related to abortion and errors when printing multi-layer jobs. Previously, if an error occurred during the printing process, the software could lock and repeatedly display the error message "unable to request slave raster data!" for subsequent jobs. A driver restart was necessary to resume printing.
- Resolved ICC profile override issue during a “Missing preset-only synchronization”. In earlier versions, the local ICC profile was incorrectly replaced by the printer's ICC profile during this process.
-
CalderaRIP V18
- Added “Transfer at once” feature to the driver, which generates print files in the local Caldera temporary directory and copies them at once to the destination (avoiding possible SMB problems).
-
CalderaRIP V17.3
- Fixed a bug that did not allow printing multiple copies of multipage PDF files (only the first page was printed).
-
CalderaRIP V17.2
- Fixed a height miscalculation, which could occur when using sandwich mode.
-
CalderaRIP V17.1
- When processing jobs, the drivers now do character substitutions in the filename by priority. Forbidden characters are treated with the highest one.
-
CalderaRIP V17
- Fixed quality mismatches and loss of linearization data during synchronization.
-
CalderaRIP V16.2
- Rev A: Single-side sandwich mode was added to the print modes, which allows composing a sandwich mode job with two single-sided on the IPS (Internal Print Server). Note that this was the behavior the drivers had before V16 (when the multi-job sandwich mode feature was introduced).
-
CalderaRIP V16
-
It is now possible to print in sandwich mode, handling ICC profiles and jobs/images independently between the A and B sides.
- The driver now validates the white settings according to the selected print mode. If the settings are invalid, an error is displayed to the user.
- Now the printer takes correctly into account the left and top margins.
- The "Optimized for lamination" option is no longer ignored by the driver.
-
-
CalderaRIP V15.1
- Job details in CalderaJobs are now displayed correctly

Tips & tricks
- If you are an Ubuntu user experiencing issues with corrupted TIFF files, please refer to the dedicated article.
- Also, within the ServerAdmin module, there is a tab called "Misc" where you will find options to fix unexpected behaviors with your HP Latex R devices:
- Driver reset: This will remove any cache file kept internally by the driver to "reset" the driver to "factory default". Clicking this button will remove the internal media database, internal quality index, and the ICC cache file.
