After mounting the CalderaRIP ISO file, the installation is now launched and you are on the CalderaRIP installation wizard.
CalderaRIP installation
- First, select the language for this installation. This language will also be the default language when running the software.
- With the full version, you can choose the printers you want to install at this step.
- If the printers are already visible in the local network, the Auto detect button would allow you to automatically install the corresponding driver.
- To install a printer manually, you simply browse for the manufacturer and the model, then you click Add.
With the light version, you would need to download and install drivers after CalderaRIP installation
- Next, you can repeat the process for cutters installation. Note that the auto-detect option is no longer available at this step.
- At the end, you find a summary of the current installation. You can click the thumb-up button to start the installation. It takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.
- CalderaRIP installation is now finished. You must restart the computer to apply changes to the system.
Additional tools
After rebooting the computer, it is highly recommended to install additional Linux tools and servers. You can do that thanks to CalderaDock from V1.14.

Open CalderaDock.

From the Applications tab, search for the Setup tools.

Helpful applications are proposed by default. If you are not comfortable with the proposed tools, leave them all checked. Then click Setup. Authentication is required.

The installation can take up to 10 minutes to complete if all the elements were selected. Once finished, you are invited to restart the computer.
